How Uncat displays and manages description information from the bank feed
Uncat displays information from the bank feed below the description field in Uncat so that it's visible but not editable. Uncat syncs new description information into QuickBooks Online in the format BANK FEED//Uncat//DESCRIPTION
Transcript
Hi there. This is a quick video showing you how Uncat handles information that comes into QuickBooks online or other accounting software through the bank feed.
So here we can see the Uncat dashboard with list of transactions. This last transaction is an expense from home Depot.
We see all the information about the transaction and this information here right below the description field has come in from the bank feed.
So rather than putting it in the field itself where the client might modify it or delete it, we put it here.
That way the client can see it. You can see it, it stays as is in the accounting software. When you or the client update the description and Uncat, then when it sinks into QuickBooks online or your other accounting software, it will show as the bank feed information.
And then it will have a delimiter that separates what they put in for through Uncat. So it will say bank feed information slash slash Uncat slash slash, and then the description they put in through Uncat.
So super easy. Thanks for watching.
