We’re fans of the Farmers Insurance commercials that feature unusual insurance claims and the slogan, “We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two.” Farmers Insurance then invites you into their Hall of Claims to “Explore our most unbelievable but true insurance claims.”
We’ve been around uncategorized transactions for quite a while – long before we built Uncat to get client responses back 10x faster than the spreadsheets we used in the past. Here are a few of the unusual transactions we’ve seen or heard about over the years:
Purchase of an engagement ring. The bookkeeper recalls, “I felt weird knowing that the engagement was coming before the fiancée.”
Bets on horse races.
Subscriptions to dating websites.
Visits to adult clubs.
Silent prayers at $250 per prayer. The bookkeeper recalls, “I did research and discovered it was an online scam geared towards entrepreneurs.”
